Important Information

School is in Session

School will be in session starting Wednesday, September 8th. Students should report to Springcreek the regular time using the regular scheduled bus or other scheduled transportation means.  The staff and students at 9:00 will get on school buses to be transported to the Junior High. Thanks to the Junior High administration, staff and students, we will be able to follow our regular schedule and maintain the regular curriculum.  The students will be dismissed from the Junior High with the car riders to be picked up in the front of the school. The bus students will load their regular bus and will folllow the regular route. We will follow this routine the rest of the week. The email would be used to communicate important information on an as needed basis. If you did not fill out the form and would like to receive emails, please contact the office.

TRUANCY LAW

Alan Clark, Attendance Officer would like to remind you of the Truancy Law absence levels established by the State of Ohio. The Law is simple and clear on this issue. A child is a habitual truant, if he/she has: 5 consecutive unexcused absences; 7 unexcused absences in one month; 12 unexcused absences in one school year. Upon reaching any one of the above levels of absence, a criminal charge is filed against the child in Juvenile Court. The parent may also be charged with "Parental Education Neglect" in Juvenile Court. If the charge is sustained, a fine of $500.00 can be imposed, or 70 hours of community service assigned, and/or participation in the Parent Family Program in the the Miami County Juvenile Court may be required.
